DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR
[Full-Time]
Austin, Texas OR Remote

Wildsam is hiring a DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR to continue building a highly engaged community around curiosity and place. In this role, the digital content creator will work closely with both our founder and brand director to reimagine how we tell stories in compelling ways, to experiment and tinker, and to introduce Wildsam to tens of thousands of new people. At Wildsam, we’ve built a library of content that's 5,000 pages deep, including 1000+ illustrations, 500+ interviews, 100+ original essays, more archival gems that we can count. Every fiber of Wildsam is aimed towards making deep connections to places around us. We're in pursuit of real points of entry that illuminate what a place is all about. We're optimistic and open-minded, and we don't shy from the difficulties of a place. This role is full-time and salaried. It comes with a full suite of benefits. Wildsam is based in Austin, but this role can be remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create social content asset program and manage all social calendars.

Develop email content strategy and work closely with editors on all email content.

Run point on website content and updates around new product launches.

Experiment with new digital platforms and track impact and success.

Grow our social and email audience segments.

Assist in key brand partnership activations around audience growth and content shares.


QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on experience with email content platforms (Klaviyo), all social platforms, Shopify. Adobe Creative Suite is a major plus.

Relevant savvy with DTC marketing tactics, norms, metrics.

This one’s super important: A keen ear for brand voice. We’re real people. Our brand should sound like it.

High, high EQ. The job may say digital content, but it’s all about people and relationships.

The ability to work weeks ahead and keep a tidy matrix of deadlines.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE
[Part-Time]
Austin, Texas

Wildsam is hiring for a part-time (25 hrs per week) customer experience associate to join our Austin team. In this role, you will be the lead communicator and problem-solver for our DTC channel, which has grown by over 200% in the past year. This means that you’re ensuring that our warehouse in South Carolina is performing their duties, that all special orders (box sets, art prints, etc) ship out quickly/correctly from our Austin HQ, that our e-comm storefront is shipshape, that all brand materials are in full supply. But perhaps more importantly, you’re the customer’s connection to the Wildsam brand. We aim for customers to have a highly personal and human experience with Wildsam, and every interaction is an opportunity to bring delight. In fact, we’re hoping that you find new and surprising ways to weave in wonder to our DTC business.

The ideal candidate is organized (like very, very organized) and loves to tackle problems on their own. Being helpful is a joy to the perfect person here. They also have real experience with e-commerce platforms and software (Shopify and Shipstation are the most important for us), as well as Google Sheets/Excel. There is a physicality to aspects of the job, i.e. lifting boxes of books on a weekly basis, so this person is ready for that. The candidate also vibes intrinsically with the Wildsam mission: to bring wonder to the daily lives of people. A sunny disposition is essential. Everyone on our team is animated by travel and reading and culture, and this role is no different. You’ll likely find yourself lending a hand in the creation of our field guides, too. So if editorial work is your long-term aspiration, this is a foot in the door, per se.
